About Celeste
With over 10 years of experience in educational advising, guidance counseling, and college and career counseling in the high school setting, Celeste has guided hundreds of students through their post-high school journeys. Her background is unusually broad: she has worked as a transitional coach for students with special needs, teaching life skills and facilitating on-the-job training through internship programs, giving her a depth of perspective that goes well beyond traditional college consulting.
Celeste's approach is rooted in the belief that choosing a college is about more than admissions, it's one of the first major moments a young person gets to define what they want from their educational, personal, and professional life. She works holistically with each student to explore career and major options, build a thoughtful college list, and navigate the full application process from start to finish. Her guidance counseling background also makes her uniquely equipped to advise on high school course selection and dual enrollment opportunities that strengthen a student's path forward.
A California native, Celeste has lived up and down the California Coast, on Long Island, New York, and in San Juan, Puerto Rico as a Coast Guard spouse. She now calls the redwood forests of Humboldt County home, where she raises three school aged sons, who frequently join her on college visits and keep her perspective grounded in what students and families actually experience.
Celeste holds a Bachelor's degree from UC Santa Cruz and a Master's degree in Education with a Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in Guidance Counseling from San Jose State University. She is an Associate Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and a member of the Western Association for College Admissions Counseling.
